Tremenswork

Tremenswork is an IT service provider, specializing in user interface design and web creation, using free software and open formats.

Our main feature is a hacker point of view, that make us at ease with both design and code.

Whether on low-level coding project or dynamic web application, we are able to implement design by templates or by "hard-coding" using standards in this field (UI frameworks like QT,GTK or other, SVG format use and manipulation, optimized bitmaps, etc). We also adapt quickly to custom creation tools that may be used.

We deploy website based on Drupal, and we "fine-tune" them using appropriate modules, code modification along with theming of course. The use of this free CMS solution offers the best possible lifetime for your site, since later improvements can be made by anyone with drupal knowledge. It also makes possible the creation of "simple sites" in short time span and low budget.

- We use free, open standards formats as much as we can, so resulting files will always be opened in the future with no extra charges thanks to FLOSS software.
- We use FLOSS applications or CMS for building website, so future modification of the work can be done by anyone with knowledge of the specific apps (and lot of online help). You are not bound to us in any privative way. You're free to go and use and enhance your product in anyway you see fit.
- We try to be the most W3C compliant, so our work respect standards in web publication matters.

We charge only for effective work.

- As we use FLOSS systems and software, we have no additional costs to charge to customers. You pay for the job only.
- We adjust pricing when working with non-profit organisation or limited budget projects as long as they involves FLOSS tools.

We are both designer and coder

- We have solid graphic design backgrounds and ever growing code and hack culture.
- We do not build website applications without great care over readability, comfort of use and efficiency.

We started a parallel project called tremenswork.org that is a non-commercial, multimedia, open-source based research area, where we try to explore interaction, video, motion, design, using free software and cheap or low-cost hardware. As these research will be available freely under the GPL, they might eventually be used here for on-demand artistic installation, or interactive software.
